Sarah Fronte CounsellingSARAH FRONTE Grad.Dip.Couns.
My name is Sarah Fronte. My counselling practice is based in Willaston near Nantwich, Cheshire and covers Crewe and surrounding areas in South Cheshire, Shropshire and also Staffordshire.
I am able to support adults, couples and teenage/adolescent clients from the age of 11 and also accept 3rd party referrals for employee counselling.
I am qualified and experienced to support clients in a range of issues such as:
- Couples & Marriage Counselling
- Negative Thinking
- Eating disorders
- Anxiety Management
- ..and more
My counselling ‘path’ started in Sydney Australia where I moved with my family in 2007. Whilst there I trained to become a telephone counsellor for Lifeline, a national charity. Once back on home soil in England I gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling & also a University Certificate in Counselling, both from South Cheshire College & validated by Manchester Metropolitan University.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy, and I am bound by their framework for ethics & good practice.
I take my continual professional development seriously and attend several workshops & training days each year to improve and enhance my knowledge & skills.
I undertook my placement work at Reaseheath College near Nantwich where I counselled young people, supporting them with a range of issues. I have also worked as a school counsellor for Brine Leas High School in Nantwich, supporting students in the middle school and sixth form through issues such as course work stress, bullying, peer group difficulties & family issues.
I have also worked & volunteered for The Dove Service which is a bereavement charity based in Stoke-on-Trent, offering support to those who are bereaved and affected by life changing illness.
These days I solely see clients in my private practice in Nantwich, who have either ‘self-referred’, having decided to seek counselling, or have been ‘sign posted’ from their GP or other recommendation.
I have a special interest in Anxiety Management & helping clients learn & develop techniques to manage their anxiety.
Whilst my practice is under-pinned by my person-centred approach, I also feel that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or ‘CBT’ when supporting clients living with Anxiety, Anger, Stress, Depression & Negative Thinking can be extremely useful & effective.
Relaxation, Mindfulness & CBT techniques can be particularly effective in combating the symptoms associated with these issues.
I like to endeavour to deliver these helpful strategies in a person-centred way, and discuss them with my clients as ‘something they might like to try’, or a ‘suggestion’, rather than ‘this is what they need to go away and work on between now & the next session !’
Please see my pages on this site to learn more about CBT, Mindfulness & Relaxation & Person-Centred Therapy and how they can help with Anxiety, Depression, Anger, Stress & Negative Thinking.
While I’m not counselling I enjoy spending quality time with family & friends & with my husband and two children, aged 20 & 23 & our dog!
“I believe in the client’s ability to find their answers and inner peace as an outcome of our work together.”
