CBT – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
This popular therapy can be useful for clients suffering from Depression, Anxiety,Stress, Anger or Negative Thinking. If you have recently seen your GP they may have talked about CBT to you.
How do I use CBT? ..
Rather than deliver this in a ‘presciptive, directive’ way, I prefer to work with the client to discuss techniques & strategies together, that may work for them.
This might include looking at Negative Thinking patterns, challenging negative thoughts & ideas about oneself, & discussing how thoughts, feelings & behaviour all connect with one another… How to break this negative cycle, and realise the key factors that have been keeping the cycle going.
I have undertaken Foundation Training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, ‘CBT with Heart‘- A course endorced by BACP.
